When I arrived in Kyoto early in the morning, I was planning to head out to Kiyomizu-Dera and spend some time there. When I arrived there, I had that gorgeous view of Kyoto from a high-ground.
It was very calm (and cold) morning, no tourists on the horizon and only a few people were there. The last time I was there it was in Spring (in April) and it was loaded with people.
I took my iPad out of my bag and started the app Blue Sky Paint. I’ve already reviewed Blue Sky Paint, and it was among my most favorite AR apps to date. It also has received AR Critic’s Editor’s Choice Award n 2018.
I wanted to use Blue Sky Paint for several reasons. First of all, in that high-ground, you have a large clear view of the sky view above Kyoto, Japan. Second, I wanted a relaxing AR app that will allow me to enjoy the beautiful view of Kyoto, while at the same time enjoy what I love best, augmented reality (AR).
That was a perfect moment to use the app, and of course, I took this opportunity with both hands. In the video below, you can see me using Blue Sky Paint in two places in Kyoto, the first one is at Kiyomizu-Dera early in the morning, and at around 11 am at the Golden Pavilion.
The Golden Pavilion had many tourists, but I did have time to focus on AR while other people were busy taking selfies and pictures of Kinkaku-ji Zen Buddhist temple.
I hope you enjoy this video. It shows you what BS Paint is about and also might help you relax if you feel a bit of tension. I picked the music myself – Enjoy!
